2010 Pro/Am Race Guide

Sunday Brunch

The Tour of the Battenkill is in its sixth year.  Fashioned after the 100 year old Paris- Roubaix cycling race in France, the race drew more than 1400 racers in 2009 from throughout the Northeast, Canada, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, North Dakota, Idaho, and California, making it the largest & most popular Pro/Am cycling race in the USA!  This year’s registrations have topped 2200!

The race is like none other in North America. Racers compete over rolling terrain on both dirt and paved roads as they travel through the world famous Battenkill Valley. Each race passes directly through the many small villages of Southern Washington County, NY where an estimated 50,000 spectators cheered on the racers in 2009.  The race starts and finishes in the quiet village of Cambridge, NY.  Covered bridges, small villages, and backcountry roads are all major features of this unique event.
